Job Function and Scope

This individual will be responsible for achieving quality castings in the operation of a brass low-pressure casting unit. The position will include programmed machine cycle start, monitoring of HMI controls/alarms, shot blasting mold and hand loading of ingot bars in automated feeder.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Ensure that automated production equipment and material specification are functioning within operating parameters of the process sheet.

2. Visual inspection of castings that meet foundry department standards.

3. Observes machine alarms for malfunction and makes adjustment to run at maximum efficiency of 80 sec/cycle and/or notify casting lead person for adjustments.

4. Completes all production paperwork to improve production methods and equipment performance.

5. Identifies scrap and segregates it from production.

6. Performs molten metal furnace cleaning weekly.

7. Ability to do all job functions as outlined in the functional job analysis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Must pass Chicago Faucets Functional Job Analysis

 

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in foundry, die casting manufacturing environment
  • Understand basic casting practices

SALARY

Starting at $29.00 per hour

Plus $3.00 shift premium
