In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for transforming the operational accounting function of the entire Geberit Group, as well as leading the global Shared Service Organization. The role primarily involves the further rollout of Shared Service Centers and the optimization of global finance processes through standardization and automation. Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategic Leadership & Transformation
- Implement a new regional Shared Services strategy
- Integrate new country organizations and additional processes
2. Operational Excellence
- Responsibility for harmonizing and optimizing accounting procedures and processes
- Drive process improvements, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
- Define and implement KPIs related to efficiency and quality
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Oversee global customs arrangements and VAT responsibilities
3. Digitalization & Automation
- Identify further automation potential in accounting processes and establish them
- Evaluate and implement new technologies
4. Governance & Compliance
- Establish effective internal control systems
- Work with auditors to ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS)
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing Shared Services organization in accounting
- Collaborate closely with finance leadership and other departments
- Representation of the department to executive management
- Actively contribute to the overall finance strategy
PROFILE
You hold an advanced degree or equivalent education in finance, accounting, or business administration. Additionally, the following qualifications and competencies distinguish you:
- Approx. 10+ years of experience in Finance Operations/Shared Services
- Approx. 8+ years of leadership experience in an international environment
- Strong expertise in financial processes and related areas; knowledge of customs regulations is a plus
- High analytical skills, willingness to drive change, and strong communication skills
- Experience with multinational finance systems and IFRS is desirable
- Strong IT affinity and interest in topics such as Machine Learning, GenAI, etc.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
- Fluent in both English and German at a minimum
